Abstract

The study of the Pleistocenic sequences in the area between Mt. Argentario and the town of Civitavecchia (Northern Latium, Italy) revealed the presence of deposits with senegalenses fauna. Particularly, ten specimens of Strombus bubonius Lamarck and few specimens of Conus Testudinarius have been found at an altitude of 12-14 m on the left side of Marta Valley and at the altitude of 12 m a.s.I. on the right side of Mignone valley. Some other specimens of Strombus bubonius Lamarck have been found at the altitude of 24 m on the right side of Arrone valley.
