Abstract
The morphostructural systems of the Haro Plain and Wenchi Lake caideras are studied from a geomorphological point of view to identify their genetic and evolutional model. This system is the result of a series of tecto-magmatic events, which started in the upper Pliocene and culminated in the Holocene. These events initially gave rise to the Haro Plain caldera and later on to the Wenchi Lake caldera, passing through a series of morphoevolutional stages which produced the present morphological landscape. The morphological structure of the Wenchi Lake caldera can be considered as a chaotic collapse structure, according to very recent theories on the genesis and developement of caideras.
