Evoluzione Plio-Quaternaria della Conca di L'aquila-Scoppito: studio preliminare
Main Article Content
Abstract
: The Aquila-Scoppito Basin (Central Apeninnes) has a triangular shape which is controlled by NW-SE and E-W trending normal faults and is filled by continental deposits of Pilo-Pleistocene age. New data has been gathered concerning the lithostratigraphic charac-teristics of the Quaternary deposits and geomorphological features of this basin. Preliminary results from data analysis indicate that the complex Quaternary evolution was governed by morphotectonic elements.
